Tshiamo Molobi (born 17 May 2003) is a South African actor best known for playing the recurring role of Lefa in the e.tv soap opera Rhythm City.

The young actor has appeared on television shows, such as Rockville S5, Scandal!, Rhythm City, and MTV Shuga. He made his acting debut in the Afrikaans film Pad na Jou Hart (Road to Your Heart).

Tshiamo Molobi was born on May 17, 2003, in the North West, South Africa.  At the age of four, he moved with his mother, Ida Molobi, to Fourways, north of Johannesburg, and was the only child of his mother.

Education

Molobi attended Afda, a private higher education institution in Auckland Park, Johannesburg. During the lockdown, he took online classes and studied from home.

Career

Tshiamo’s love for the screen dates back to the 2009 SABC2 mini-series Hopeville when he was six years old. He then made his acting debut in the 2014 romantic drama film Pad na Jou Hart (Road to Your Heart) and his television debut in a couch advert.

In 2015, he then appeared as Lemo in season 5 of the MTV Base youth drama series MTV Shuga: Down South. He landed another role in the film Happiness Is a Four-letter Word, directed by Thabang Moleya, in 2016.

He played the recurring role of Lefa, the brother of Reneilwe and Kea, on the e.tv soap opera Rhythm City. He made his first appearance on 27 February 2019.

He landed another role as Tshepo on the Mzansi Magic soap opera The Queen. He made his first appearance in October 2019.

His next role was as Nozuko Ncayiyane’s younger brother, Sibusiso, in the Mzansi Magic telenovela DiepCity. He landed a guest starring role in the Mzansi Magic drama series Rockville. He appeared in season 5, episode 8.

In October 2021, Molobi appeared as Lebo in the e.tv soap opera Scandal! He also featured as Kabelo in the film What About the Boys, a Gender-Based Violence (GBV) intervention initiative.

In 2022, Tshiamo Molobi portrayed a supporting role in Mmino wa Lerato in the romantic comedy.

Aside from appearing in films and television shows, Molobi has also featured in commercials for top brands. He has worked with McDonald’s, Gomma Gomma, Coke, and DSTV (Big Weekend). He is also active on social media with a decent following.
