July 28, 2025Jessica Motaung (born 23 August 1973) is a South African sport executive, beauty pageant titleholder, and sport executive. She has served as the Marketing Director of Kaizer Chiefs, a Football Club based in Johannesburg, since 2003.
She has competed for numerous beauty pageant titles, including the 1997 Miss Gauteng Beauty Pageant, Miss South Africa, and Miss World. She is the daughter of Kaizer Motaung, the football legend and founder of Amakhosi.

Jessica Motaung was born on 23 August 1973 to Kaizer Motaung, a former football player, and Julegka Valeta Motaung, a devoted Christian who served as chairlady in the Methodist Church.
She has two brothers, Bobby Motaung and Kaizer Motaung Junior, and lost one of her siblings, Thabo, in 2012.
During her high school years, she participated in sports. She played hockey, netball, tennis, athletics, and swimming, and was a team leader.
Career
Jessica started as a model, and she entered and competed in several pageants. She entered the Miss Gauteng Beauty Pageants in 1997 and won the title.
She also entered the Miss South Africa pageantry and finished as the first runner-up. She climbed the ladder in her pageantry career after representing South Africa in Miss World and finished as the second runner-up.
In 1998, Jessica hosted the television programme Speak Out, an investigative news programme produced by the SABC. She became the marketing director at Kaizer Chiefs under the leadership of her father.
Since Jessica joined the club in 1998, she has made huge contributions through her unwavering support for women in sports management. She has spent over 26 years at Kaizer Chiefs, empowering women in football and sports and clinching trophies for the club.
Jessica has been recognized by many institutions. On 11 March 2015, Protea Glen Secondary School honored her for being one of the most influential women in South Africa. She was also on Northern Natal News’ Top 10 South Africa’s Most Influential Women in August 2015.
In 2015, Jessica was nominated for the 2015 Woman of the Year Awards alongside Thandi Merafe and Patricia Kambarami. She served on the CAF’s organizing committee on women’s football in 2021.
In 2023, the sports personality served on the SAFA’s Women’s Committee. She started the culture of inclusivity at Kaizer Chiefs. Her impact in the club has helped build it as one of the biggest on the continent.
Through her, the football club Kaizer Chiefs has maintained a working relationship with sponsors such as Vodacom, Toyota, and Kappa. She has been a member of many sporting boards in South Africa, including the Premier Soccer League’s (PSL) Board of Governors.
In December 2023, she served as the first deputy chairperson of the African Clubs Association (ACA) during the launch of the CAF-affiliated body in Egypt.
She graduated from the SuperSport Industry Leaders Programme in 2022, conducted in conjunction with the Gordon Institute of Business.
Personal Life
Jessica and her fiancé, Ken Simmons, separated after she was accused of cheating with Kaizer Chiefs employee Thato Matuka. However, she denied these claims. She has two children, Donald and Kenneth. Her son, Kenneth, plays basketball.
Jessica loves to listen to music, including Rhythm and Blues, hip-hop, jazz, and classics. When she is not listening to music, she is reading. She owns two pet dogs- a Golden Retriever, Hamilton, and a King Charles Spaniel, Amber.
