The Catalia hitmaker is best known for his hit song Ufunan, featuring Kwesta, WTF, and L-Tido. He won the King of KwaZulu-Natal Award at the 2016 SA Hip Hop Awards and is a two-time Platinum-selling DJ.

Early Life
Mthembu Junior Mzizi, affectionately known by his stage name Junior De Rocka, was born on 23 January 1992 in KwaMashu, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. He grew up in KwaMashu.
Career
Junior De Rocka worked as a disk jockey in clubs before releasing his songs. He rose to fame with his hit song Ufunan, featuring Kwesta, WTF, and L-Tido, and later the amapiano-styled single Catalia.
In 2016, at the age of 24, Junior De Rocka won the King of KwaZulu-Natal Award at the South African Hip Hop Awards.
In 2021, Junior collaborated with singer Lady Du and Mr JazziQ on the single Catalia. The song became a huge success, further solidifying his status in the local music scene. He is now a 2X Platinum-selling DJ.
He is also behind the hit song Been Thinking for which he won the King of KZN at the South African Hip Hop Awards in 2016. He collaborated with The Elevatorz, Mabzar on Abantu Abadala, Thulani Way, Ntwana_R on 2 AM, and DBN Gogo on Kash.
Junior collaborated with Cassper Nyovest, Riky Rick, and Kwesta on “Been Thinking – Remix” and with Emtee on “On The Road“. He is also behind the song Thanda Wena featuring Maline Aura and Ntwana_R.
Personal Life
Musician Junior De Rocka is married to Kholiswa. He announced his lobola negotiations and a sweet message to his new wife in 2025. He is known for his relationship with his baby mama, actress Ntando Duma.
On 28 June 2017, he welcomed his daughter, Sbahle Lisakhanya Mzizi, whom he shares with Ntando Duma. He also dated Asanda Minaj, and they celebrated their three years together in 2021.
The duo broke up in 2017 shortly after Ntando became pregnant. His baby mama accused him of being a deadbeat father, failing to support his daughter.
He debunked the claim and also stated that he wasn’t granted access to his daughter because of the friction between him and Ntando. They eventually made peace for the sake of their daughter, whom they both co-parent.
His friend Mluleki Wiseman Mbewana was shot at point-blank range at a parking lot outside Rich Durban in 2020.
